This redesign uses splatters, hand-rendered type, and illustrations to visualize the chaos that takes place in the story. It also uses dynamic typography and bright to keep the reader engaged and excited about what comes next.
All of the splatters in this project were hand-made. Each of them were made with India ink and Bristol board. I then used straws of different widths to blow the ink in different directions and a toothbrush to create speckles. Each individual piece was then scanned and edited so that the illustration style would mimic that of relief printing. The chaotic splatters were representative of how random the events in the book can be.
